Hello! my name is Isabel and I am a graphic designer, artist and video editor from the Netherlands.
I have been making different kinds of work since I was about 11 years old, and continue to make more every day.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have a certificate in Cambridge english.Besides creating art I am also a big fan of gaming, k-pop, cosplay, and I am into the aquarium keeping hobby.

Martini-Abduction!
The Martini-Abduction prints & tote bags were made for Groningen's 2024 pride event in June. Groningen is a city with many international students, and its especially packed with people from other places during pride. I wanted to make something that serves as a fun memory for these people.The prints and tote bags were both made at Noorderpoort, hence the yellow straps and logos on some of the bags. It displays the 'Martinitoren' being abducted by an unidentified flying object. Several of these prints have an additional sky-blue layer, this layer has some more specific details based on the area around the tower!

Hammerhead shark project
For my 'infographics' exam at Noorderpoort I made an infographic and explanimation about Hammerhead sharks. Since we were allowed to choose our own subjects, I wanted to do something with sharks. This time I wanted to choose a shark that is often misunderstood, I felt like the hammerhead fit this description.In the centre of my infographic there's a detailed illustration of the Shark that I made in photoshop. Around it is all the important information I wanted to highlight. A fun little detail is the Title of the graphic, it's shaped like a cephalofoil!The explanimation is an extended and animated variant of the infographic. Every object or shark is drawn by me, I wrote the script and animated everything myself. This was the first time I made a full animation in After Effects.

This is a poster I made in a workshop about "still life". It depicts an artwort of several vases and a lamp in a museum hallway. Someone just quietly passed by it, only leaving a trail of footsteps behind.

During the re-elections in the Netherlands in 2024, I was following a workshop on how to make your own paper from scratch using every-day objects. I found myself looking through a lot of the newspapers at home and I kept seeing the same faces, with one specifically standing out: Geert Wilders. His party doesn't align with a lot of the climate change views that I have, this irritates me a lot and gave me the idea for the lino print that goes on the paper
I collected every newspaper I could find at home with his face (and political figures with similar views) and blended them to a pulp. With this pulp i made one piece of paper.The lino print represents a dollar bill of our earth. There's only one of these prints, because we only have one earth.

I love playing around with transitions in video edits, this one especially was a lot of fun, because of all the 3d effects.

ecofé logo
This logo was made for my corporate-design class and counts as part of the exam. For te exam we had to do a fusion between two companies, in this case it was HP (Hewlett-Packard) and Douwe egberts.
The design for my logo consists of a cup of coffee in the shape of the on/off button, with a latte-art heart in the middle.

Magazine cover and pages
During a graphic design class in year 1 at Noorderpoort we were assigned a group project about making a music based-magazine. Everyone was instructed to come up with a design, a concept and a name for the magazine.
In our 3-member group we ended up picking my concept for the whole magazine. We couldn't decide on a specific genre everyone enjoyed, so I suggested going for a music magazine that introduces you to trending, new and upcoming artists.
This gave everyone a chance to talk about someone they enjoy.The title Movement represents going with the flow of the current music generation. It is seen on the cover of the magazine page in a playful and fluid typography. The logo and full cover for our group project were made by me. A vinyl record is seen in the middle of the cover, this picture was made by us in a mini photoshoot. Vinyls have been becoming very popular again in recent years, so it felt relevant to use it for the cover. On top of the page there's a hint on what to expect in the magazine.For the design we went with one primary color for everyone, with white as the supporting color. We all chose our colors, and I ended up with sky-blue, and a darker yellow. I made 2 spreads for LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans, two new and upcoming artists I'm interested in.

Cookbook pages
Pages for a recipe in a Korean-cookbook. The bibimbap dish is made by combining pencil drawings with overlays in photoshop. The flowers in the background are traditional Korean Mugunghwa flowers, the flower is said to represent Korea.

Strawberry Fields display
During my internship at Strawberry Fields I created maquettes for the company display. These maquettes represent four of their clients or projects: New Energy Coalition, BioBTX, VRolijk 2050! and ENTRANCE. Strawberry fields does a lot more than creating booklets, which wasn't very visible in the last display. With my addition I was able to show more variety in their work.

New Energy Coalition projectenboek
New Energy Coalition (NEC) are ''drivers of change''. They are an advocat for the energy region of the Netherlands and they lead many projects which will lead us to a better world. They came to Strawberry Fields with the question of creating a project book for all of these projects. As an intern for Strawberry Fields I was assigned this project and created a new project-book.For this assignment I was given an unfinished version of the project book as a starting point. All of the information and interviews needed are taken from that version. With that I created a neat layout that works for all projects and it's information, in the corporate identity of NEC.

Photography is a passion I've had since I was a little kid. I used to explore the dunes and beaches of France with my dad to take pictures of everything cool we found. Since then, I've developed my own interests in things I want to capture with photography. Often times my interests lie in animals, especially in aquatic creatures.
